Walks around De Krim Texel

If you love walking, Texel is the place for you. The beach walk from north to south is 30 km in itself. The wide strip of dunes comprises an extensive network of footpaths, all with posts with coloured tops. Yellow tops mean through routes, to the beach for example. Blue tops mark a round trip: they take you back to the starting point. Green tops indicate a path through a vulnerable area that is only accessible outside the brooding season, from August 16 to March 1. Posts with red tops are found on nature walks. Comprehensive walking and cycling routes are available from reception.
